Training Centre in Benin

CIAT’s International Training Centre is equipped with the facilities and learning resources specific to each type of course and is attended by over 1,000 people from around the world each year.

14 training courses, from introductory courses to in-depth specialised seminars, are available to meet the demands of climatic and thermal engineering professionals in the residential, commercial, healthcare and industry sectors.

With a view to providing increased support for its international clients, CIAT regularly organises training sessions abroad at the very heart of the installations. Various trips have already been organised in French-speaking Africa (Gabon, Cameroon, Senegal) and in Asia (notably, Vietnam in the near future).

A comprehensive training session recently took place in Cotonou (Benin) at the Novotel ORISHA where Powerciat chillers have been installed and are in operation.

The course included:

• Overview of the basics of refrigeration, technologies of components specific to screw compressors.
• Plotting of refrigeration cycles on enthalpy charts for R407C and R134a refrigerants
• Practical applications: commissioning, operating reading and analysis, maintenance programme with work carried out on chillers in operation.
• Assessment of knowledge acquired.

This particularly operational training session took place in a very pleasant atmosphere. The participants appreciated the technologies applied to the equipment, the easy access to the components, the controls adapted to their use and the easy maintenance.
