CIAT equips the Bluebox building in Geneva with its HEE technology

The Bluebox building whose colours call to mind the glaciers and whose effect was made possible by the construction of a ventilated glass façade, is the first building in the world awarded with the MINERGIE^® label to exclusively use the innovative heating and cooling technology of fan coil units.

CIAT worked in partnership with the contractor throughout the duration of the project, from design to installation. The specifications demanded a 3-in-1 solution, notably a product which could provide heating, cooling and ventilation. Bluebox is equipped with 232 comfort units which can easily be moved allowing the tenant to position them in just the right place according to his layout.

Thanks to the Coadis HEE comfort units with their extremely low energy consumption, Bluebox achieves energy consumption rates of just 29 kW/h/m²/year. Due to two of CIAT´s major innovations (special fan turbines and brushless technology motors) energy savings of as much as 85% can be made for all the range of comfort units..
