CIAT present at the ATMOS’FAIR Congress
At the 3rd edition of the ATMOS’FAIR Congress in Lyon in September, Philippe Petit, from CIAT’s Research and Innovation Centre, presented the work on Indoor Air Quality that has been carried out within the framework of the Vaicteur Air² project. Launched in 2008 and currently midterm, the project has already shown significant results in the fields of energy optimisation of buildings and IAQ.
During the congress, the following achievements were presented:
- Advancement of knowledge and recognition of the different pollutants found in indoor environments in the tertiary sector (offices and healthcare establishments),
- Development of a PANDORE database, openly available on the LaSIE website (http://leptiab.univ-larochelle.fr/Presentation-PANDORE.html)
- Dynamic modelling of pollutants inside buildings
- Development of a “real-time” biological sensor
- Development of a particulate sensor which allows the optimised management of comfort units (heating, cooling and air purification)
- Long term validation tests on a demo site subjected to real conditions
Other work will be finalised before the culmination of the project in 2014; we will keep you informed of the developments in this field.
