CIAT equips Tsar Alexei’s summer palace in Moscow

The Kolomenskoye Museum in Moscow chose CIAT's air handling and air conditioning equipment for the newly renovated summer palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich.

Construction on the original palace at Kolomenskoye was ordered by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the father of Peter the Great. Totalling 250 rooms and 3,000 mica windows, this magnificent summer palace was built entirely of axe-hewn wood and without the use of any saws or nails. Considered the Eighth Wonder of the World, this masterpiece of Russian timber architecture was recently rebuilt according to the original 12th century drawings.

CIAT's equipment was selected for its ability to meet stringent requirements for precise temperature control as well as maintain the proper conditions required to preserve the museum's collection whilst ensuring the comfort of visitors. The lack of available space made installing the equipment a real challenge.

A total of 29 Climaciat Airtech air handling units, 5 indoor Ciatcooler LJAH water chillers and several Major and UTA comfort units are installed in this legendary palace.
